This is a follow up to my blog on the only vote I gave for XXL Magazine’s Freshman Class of 2018. This Hip Hop magazine chooses a class of artists each year that have “blown up” in the recent year, and they divide them into two groups and they collaborate on a track. My ten choices (In no specific order because I listen to them all constantly) for this year’s class are:
1. Mir Fontane 2. Lil Skies 3. Moneybagg Yo 4. Nessly 5. Tee Grizzley 6. YoungBoy Never Broke Again 7. Trippie Redd 8. YBN Almighty Jay 9. YBN Nahmir 10. BlocBoy JB
My reasoning for each of these selections is a little bit different. But I believe that each one of these artists can progress with their individual styles, some more than others, but I believe all of them can earn a fair amount more revenue than they already have in years to come. This year’s freshman list is going to be very interesting. There is a lot of controversy behind some of the artists and that will just make it more interesting.
